Chaplain Ed Davis (PDawg) is a chaplain with the Laramie Police Department, Cheyenne Police Department, Wyoming Highway Patrol. He is currently President/Treasurer for the Wyoming Law Enforcement Chaplains Association, Inc. (WLECA).

As chaplain to the various law enforcement agencies, Ed is a spiritual counselor to the officers, staff and their families. Working as President of WLECA, he brings basic, enhanced and advanced chaplains training to all Wyoming Chaplains.

Chaplaincy is about a “ministry of presence.” Ed believes in mental well-being for all law enforcement and their families. Ed is a senior credentialed member of the International Conference of Police Chaplains (ICPC), Regional Director of the Rocky Mountain Police and Fire Chaplains, which encompasses Wyoming and Colorado at the present time. With ICPC, he is the Region 2 Secretary/Treasurer and serves as Assistant Chair of the Credential Committee.

Ed truly believes in serving all emergency services chaplains through professional training and support and encouragement to all his wards. Ed is striving to ensure the well-being of the agencies in Wyoming along with their officers and families. As a P.O.S.T certified instructor, Ed brings training to all chaplains and believes the ruralness of Wyoming can benefit from the experiences of larger metropolitan agencies throughout the United States of America.

Ed is married to Lois and they have one married grown daughter and five grandchildren. He hails from San Diego, California where he grew up surfing. He is also a veteran of the USAF retiring and settling down in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He likes oil painting, hunting and astrophotography. Ed retired as a law enforcement officer and believes the experience along with his pastoral training and education coupled with chaplaincy may assist officers and their families.
